Volunteers Wanted

We are currently recruiting for the following skilled volunteer roles:

Tool Repair Technicians

PAT Testers

These are skilled roles and require knowledge of how to carry out electrical or mechanical repair, or knowledge of how to sharpen tools.

To be a PAT tester for us you will need to hold the relevant qualification.  If you are interested, and can spare 3 or 4 hours a month around your own commitments, get in touch.

We are also looking for Tool Collectors living in the Inverness area.  Ideally you would have your own transport to be able to collect tool donations for us, or you would be available in Inverness to meet tool donors at our tool store.  This is an occasional role and can be arranged to fit around your own commitments.

For further information or to register your interest contact: volunteer@clachworks.com

Want to be part of the Clachworks community? There are several ways to get involved, even while we’re in our start up phase.

Donate Tools

Have tools lying about your place that haven’t been touched for years? Then Clachworks would love to hear from you!

Clachworks is determined to reduce the amount of tools going into landfill. As a result, we are looking to you the community to help us build our tool library.

We will gladly accept donations of working tools (hand tools, electric tools, garden tools, odd tools!) that can be shared with the wider community through our tool library.

All tools will be checked, PAT tested and serviced before being added to the tool library. If you have a tool that is slightly damaged but you think could be repaired, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do!

To donate tools, or discuss the tool library, get in touch.

Donate Time

Clachworks is run by a group of volunteers who believe that by coming together and sharing our resources, we can achieve great things! There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, even at this start-up phase, so if you would like to volunteer or find out how you can get involved we’d love to hear from you! Drop us an email.

Donate Money

Clachworks is a not-for-profit community interest company in its start up phase. We are independent of any larger organisations and so will be relying on financial support to get us up and running. Donations will be used to cover capital expenses for the tool library.

All donations will go towards improving and expanding the services offered to our members and to spreading the message of the circular economy in the wider community. If you would like to support Clachworks, either with a one-off payment of whatever amount you can afford or via direct debit, please get in touch.
